Secondary Research- Suicide

"Suicide is the act of intentionally causing one's own death."

The above line states that suicide is basically where one kills oneself. The factors that lead to a person to suicide is when they are having suicidal thoughts which occur due to a million reason. The most common  reason for people to commit suicide is  mainly depression, bipolar disorder, autism, schizophrenia, Personality disorder etc. There many people who have committed suicide due to depression. In the world there are more than 264 million People who suffer from this abnormal psychology. Coming to the suicide rate there has been a drastic rise in the number of cases. Almost 800,000 people in a year have passed away due to committing suicide.  Suicide occurs throughout the life span and is the second leading leading cause of death among 15-29 year old globally.

A lot of people  have committed suicide because of guilt which could differ from person to person. Guilt is this unpleasant feeling an effective state in which one experiences conflict at having done something that one believes one should not have done. People who have a lot of guilt usually have these guilt trips which can affect the way they think as their brains are clouded by guilt thoughts and they don't even think straight, so it just a matter of seconds when they take their own life.

Coming to my secondary purpose of research, how has suicide affected the LGBT Community.Research has found that attempted suicide rates and suicidal ideation among lesbian, gay, transgender (LGBT) youth is significantly higher than among the general population. The discriminate against the LGBT people have been shown to have significant negative impacts on the physical and mental health and well-being of LGBT youth; for example, depression and drug use among LGBT people have been shown to increase significantly after the passage of discriminatory laws.
